This project presents a book cover redesign and poster design for an eco-fiction novel. The concept reflects the realisation that humans and nature are deeply interconnected, encouraging readers to reconsider the illusion of safety within man-made environments. Through surreal digital illustration, the design visualises the delicate balance between natural and artificial worlds, evoking both awareness and reflection.

Summary of the Book

The narrative follows nine individuals who experience supernatural phenomena and eventually cross paths in the book, uniting to protect the Earth.

Interview

The author highlighted how people often perceive the world as revolving solely around humanity, leading to a self-centered perspective. He emphasised that meaning extends far beyond our existence.

The author also introduced the terms ‘Species loneliness’ and ‘Human separatism’, which illustrate how people distance themselves from nature.

Understanding

the Core Theme

This storyline led me to the conclusion that the book revolves around the theme of protecting nature.

I realised that we tend to forget to appreciate the benefits that nature provides. Furthermore, I recognised the ignorance of those who separate nature from humanity.

I also considered that separatism and loneliness stem not only from human ignorance but also from greed.
