Menu Magic enhances customer satisfaction and fostering loyalty by delivering realistic food visuals that closely match the actual dishes served, along with detailed nutritional information through the augmented reality (AR).



MenuMagic is an augmented reality (AR) cafe menu and ordering serviece, offering transparent and clear food visualization along with detailed nutritional information to enhance the dining experience.

FEATURES

Gesture tracking is used to trigger the occurrence of an event. In this prototype, user performs an opening hand gesture to activate the menu. Conversely, they can close the menu with a hand-closing gesture. Additionally, users can grab an object by performing a grabbing gesture.

The visualization provides a realistic 3D representation of the meal. This allows customers to understand the portion sizes, exploring them from different angles and perspectives.

The highlighted arrow serves as a visual guide to help users navigate through the experience effectively. It ensures that users understand how to interact with the different segments of the placemat and clearly directs them on how to proceed next.

Interactive buttons enable users to customize their meal by selecting different toppings and sauces, therby making the dining experience more suited to individual tastes.

This information provides users with educational insights about the food, including its background, nutritional content, and allergy alerts. It helps customers to make informed decisions based on health considerations or dietary restrictions.

HOW TO USE
4. Interact with the Placemat
The placemat is divided into four categories. Customers can rotate the placemat following the highlighted arrow guide to:
View detailed food information.
Customise meals by selecting add-ons like toppings and sauces.

5. Place the Order
Once satisfied with their choices, the customer rotates the placemat to the fourth segment. They can then place their order by tapping the virtual desk bell, which sends the order directly to the kitchen.

6. Deactivate the Menu
After completing the order, the customer performs a closing hand gesture to deactivate the menu, finalizing the process.

2. Activate the Menu
A simple hand-opening gesture activates the menu, making it ready for interaction.

3. Explore the Menu in 3D
To learn more about a dish or explore additional options, the customer can drag a food image from the menu onto the placemat in front of them.

The customer begins by putting on a pair of AR-enabled glasses.
